The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies EVER...No Joke!

I repinned a pin on Pinterest (what a phrase!) that said to add vanilla pudding mix to cookie batter to create the fluffiest cookies ever. Well, when I went back to look at the recipe, all that showed up was a picture of the cookies. I hate when that happens.

I was all geared up to do cookies though, so I decided to experiment a little bit and boy am I glad I did! I have been on a lifelong quest for the best chocolate chip cookies and I think these are it. I followed the recipe on the back of the Nestle Toll House chocolate chip bag and then added a Tbs of Vanilla pudding mix. I might have added a little more than a Tbs but I just eyeballed it.

Here is the recipe, if you don't have one handy:



Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla Pudding mix
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Milk Chocolate Morsels
  • PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

    COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Add vanilla pudding mix, stir well. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. 

    BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. 
  • Eat. Eat them ALLLL!!
